About the role#
This 11-week internship offers hands-on experience in managing high-volume travel centers. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility operations, team management, and customer service. The program is designed to provide real-world application of skills and mentorship to help you prepare for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Train across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Practice team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and department leaders.
- Deliver customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools for daily operations.
- Willingness to learn by doing in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move around the facility.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
