About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work with experienced leaders to learn facility management, team leadership, and customer service. The program focuses on real-world application of business skills to help you prepare for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care departments.
- Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Practice team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a project with other interns and leadership.
- Provide customer service and resolve issues.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program, specifically in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to move around, talk, hear, and see clearly to perform job duties.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.
