About the role#
This 11-week internship offers hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work with experienced leaders to learn about facility management, team leadership, and customer service. The program focuses on real-world application of skills and leadership development.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn how to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Gain experience in team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Deliver customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining operational standards.
- Help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a project with other interns and leaders across departments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Comfort interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
- Physical ability to move around, talk, hear, see clearly, and lift up to 50 pounds.
