About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility management, team leadership, and customer service. The program is designed to provide practical skills and insight into potential career paths within the company.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Develop business acumen by learning how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
- Gain experience delivering customer service and resolving issues.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and department leaders.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Confidence interacting with customers and team members.
- Willingness to learn by doing in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
- Physical ability to talk, hear, move around, and lift up to 50 pounds.
