About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility management, team leadership, and customer service. This program is designed to provide real-world application of skills and prepares interns for potential full-time employment.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Develop business acumen by learning to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and company leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Confidence interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools.
- Physical ability to move around, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to pass additional screenings including a motor vehicle check or DOT Physical if required.
