About the role#
This 11-week internship at Love's Travel Stops provides hands-on experience in managing high-volume travel centers. You will work with experienced leaders to learn about facility operations, team management, and customer service. The program is designed to build your business skills and introduce you to the operations behind food service and truck care.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
- Practice team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Deliver customer service and resolve issues.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and department leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
- Confidence interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to move around and lift up to 50 pounds.
