About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn about facility management, team leadership, and customer service. The program focuses on real-world application of business skills to help you prepare for a potential career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Practice team leadership, staffing, and employee development.
- Deliver customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Collaborate on a project with other interns and department leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program, specifically in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Confidence when interacting with customers and team members.
- Willingness to learn by doing in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to navigate computer programs and technology tools.
- Physical ability to move around, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
