About the role#
The Resolutions Intern will work in a professional, customer-centric environment to provide a quality customer experience. This role focuses on collecting and negotiating terms of repayment on outstanding account balances through both inbound and outbound calls. You will evaluate customer situations with empathy to provide relevant solutions while maintaining professional standards.
What you'll do#
- Partner with customers to determine the reasons for account delinquency and negotiate for full payment or repayment terms.
- Research and analyze accounts by evaluating historical data and past resolution efforts before initiating contact.
- Process written and phone notifications to resolve escalated account issues.
- Make adjustments to customer accounts and maintain detailed notes.
- Provide customers with requested information and supporting documentation.
- Log disputes and communicate with maintenance locations to resolve customer issues.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as necessary.
- Research and resolve failed transactions.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a four-year university program, at a sophomore level or above, pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Accounting.
- Experience in accounting, invoicing, or collections is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and arithmetic skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions in a high-volume setting.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry and the ability to speak Spanish are considered a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged sitting, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, and manual dexterity for computer and calculator operation.
