About the role#
The Food and Beverage Innovation Intern supports the operational needs of the Food Service team. This role focuses on culinary product development and food safety. You will gain professional experience by working on research projects and coordinating activities within the Culinary Innovation Center.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Food and Beverage Innovation Team with research and development projects.
- Support food safety projects, including hold-time validation and cook studies.
- Help coordinate food events such as internal product showings and consumer testing.
- Review specifications and work cross-functionally with other departments and suppliers.
- Participate in company-wide internship activities, including mentor programs, executive Q&A sessions, and formal presentations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a four-year university program as a sophomore or above.
- Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in food science, culinary arts, culinology, or a related field such as Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Nutrition, Business Administration, Chemistry, Biology, or Agriculture.
- Prior food service or culinary experience.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
- Ability to multitask, solve problems, and communicate effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located on-site at the corporate office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
- The term for this position is Summer 2027.
- This role requires scheduling flexibility and potential travel.
