About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship providing hands-on experience in Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance. You will work alongside senior technicians in a mission-critical facility, gaining practical knowledge of facility systems, control networks, and industrial maintenance practices.
What you'll do#
- Support the E&I team in the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems.
- Assist senior technicians with preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical panels, sensors, and instrumentation devices.
- Participate in equipment inspections and field verifications while ensuring compliance with site safety standards.
- Learn and apply basic electrical measurement and diagnostic techniques under mentor guidance.
- Record and document readings, results, and maintenance data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assist with instrumentation calibration, equipment startups, and the installation or wiring of control devices.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to work planning and hazard identification.
What you'll need#
- 1-3 years of experience in Electrical or Instrumentation maintenance, facilities operations, or utility systems.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A technical certificate, associate’s degree, or training in Mechanical, HVAC, or Industrial Maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, including LOTO, confined space entry, and chemical handling.
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn advanced maintenance techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow detailed instructions.
