About the role#
The Project Engineer Intern supports project teams in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects across various industries. You will gain hands-on experience with real-world operations, learning how to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. This position is seasonal and involves working on-site in office and construction environments.
What you'll do#
- Assist Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents with daily project activities.
- Support document control, including RFIs, submittals, drawings, and specifications.
- Help with project scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Participate in quantity takeoffs, cost tracking, and budget support.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Attend project meetings, site walks, and safety briefings.
- Maintain project documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Support quality control and safety initiatives on the jobsite.
What you'll need#
- A strong interest in construction and project delivery.
- Current pursuit of a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to travel or relocate temporarily based on project needs.
- Experience in construction, industrial services, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive organizations is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction software is preferred.

- Locations: Texas, Colorado, and Arizona.

- Compensation: Paid internship.
- Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and lift up to 25 lbs. You may visit outdoor industrial sites with exposure to weather, noise, dust, or chemicals.
