About the role#
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on-site at our Fort Worth facility. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
You will participate in the full software lifecycle. Your work will span from initial design concepts through requirements development, implementation, and testing. Specific tasks include:
- Writing automated test scripts and developing internal tools.
- Developing software that runs on the F-35.
- Supporting system integration and testing.
What you'll need#
- You must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance.
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Proficiency with C++ is required.
- Familiarity with Unix or Linux environments.
- Experience with embedded software, Python, Git, Jira, and Excel is preferred.
