About the role#
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Summer 2027 Design Engineering Intern to join our team in Jupiter, Florida. You will work within an Integrated Product Team to support airframe design projects. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Participate in airframe design activities, including 3D part design.
- Execute concept development, preliminary design, and detail design tasks.
- Coordinate with engineering and non-engineering disciplines to support project goals.
- Solve engineering problems related to manufacturing issues.
- Prepare technical reports and project proposals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Proficiency with business software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Basic knowledge of 3D and 2D CAD engineering software.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5, CATIA V6, or similar CAD tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Strong skills in problem solving, communication, and teamwork.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
