About the role#
The Office of Intercultural Development (OID) offers this paid internship to students seeking leadership experience, cultural awareness, and opportunities to encourage unity. The role involves supporting office initiatives, promoting campus engagement, and assisting with administrative tasks. What you'll do#
- Attend regularly scheduled leadership trainings and meetings.
- Manage content, messaging, and updates for OID social media platforms, calendars, and websites.
- Organize, coordinate, and implement campus-wide educational programs, events, and activities that promote diverse perspectives.
- Provide marketing and advertising for office programs and events.
- Coordinate student participation in community service opportunities, such as the MLK Day of Service.
- Develop student feedback methods and encourage engagement with OID initiatives.
- Assist with major cultural awareness events and attend recruiting events on behalf of the office.
- Manage front desk duties and serve as a resource to OID staff.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status at Lipscomb University in good standing.
- Completion of at least one year of study (sophomore, junior, or senior status).
- Minimum 2.75 GPA.
- Availability to work at least 10 hours per week.
- Interest in applying marketing and communication skills to advance the OID mission.
- Commitment to diversity and social justice, including the ability to discuss topics such as race, religion, and socioeconomic status.
- Awareness of on-campus and off-campus resources.
- Majors in Communications, Psychology, Marketing, Sociology, or Business Administration are preferred.
