Electrical & Computer Engineering Tutor Student Worker

About the role#

The Raymond B. Jones College of Engineering is seeking sophomore, junior, and senior students to serve as Electrical & Computer Engineering Tutors. This position supports undergraduate students by facilitating learning in core engineering subjects and assisting with laboratory exercises. Successful candidates must complete required training before beginning their duties.

What you'll do#

• Conduct regular tutoring sessions for undergraduate courses, including Physics, Digital Logic, Circuits, Semiconductor Electronics, and Microprocessors.
• Provide hands-on assistance to students during freshman- and sophomore-level lab exercises.
• Document all tutoring sessions accurately.
• Submit regular reports regarding hours worked to the department chair.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in engineering courses at Lipscomb University as a sophomore, junior, or senior.
• Strong academic performance, defined as a GPA of 3.2 or higher, or a B average or better in freshman- and sophomore-level engineering courses.
• Alternatively, a strong recommendation from a current professor.
