College of Pharmacy - Active Learning Community Leader (Student Worker)

About the role#

The College of Pharmacy is seeking students to serve as Active Learning Community (ALC) Peer Leaders. This role supports the supplemental instruction model by hosting weekly sessions that promote content understanding, retention, and community building among students. This position is a paid student worker opportunity.

What you'll do#

• Design and facilitate interactive learning activities that integrate study strategies with course content.
• Prepare session materials, including questions, problems, and activities, in advance.
• Conduct scheduled ALC sessions according to the College of Pharmacy schedule.
• Coordinate with course-related faculty and attend all required meetings.
• Maintain regular communication with the Director of the Active Learning Community Program.
• Model professional behavior at all times.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a student in the Lipscomb College of Pharmacy.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• A grade of B or higher in the specific course(s) you intend to support.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• A commitment to assisting peers in their academic success.
