Assistant Director of Student Engagement: Social Clubs and Student Activities Board

About the role#

The Assistant Director of Student Engagement provides leadership and direction for the Social Club system and the Student Activities Board (SAB). This role supports the expansion and development of student organizations while ensuring programs align with the university mission. You will serve as a primary liaison between faculty, staff, and Greek Life, managing administrative operations and student-led programming.

What you'll do#

• Oversee day-to-day operations for Social Clubs, including roster management, data collection, and financial oversight.
• Advise student leaders on group dynamics, event management, leadership development, and risk management.
• Assist in developing educational initiatives focused on hazing prevention.
• Hire, manage, and direct student employees for the Student Activities Board.
• Develop and implement campus-wide events and activities, including coordinating with local vendors to integrate Nashville into the student experience.
• Facilitate meetings with the Inter Club Council and maintain organizational records using software-based management systems.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 1 year of experience in student program administration, Greek Life, student involvement, or student housing.
• Ability to problem-solve in a collaborative environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in designing digital and print assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to maintain records, prepare reports, and meet deadlines.

• Schedule: This role is full-time and requires flexibility, including some nights, weekends, and irregular hours.
