About the role#
This DoD SkillBridge internship is designed to provide transitioning service members with the knowledge and skills necessary to move into a full-time Warehouse Supervisor role at Lineage. The program lasts between 90 and 120 days and focuses on learning company processes, culture, and operations. While the objective is to transition interns into full-time employment, offers are contingent upon meeting training objectives and receiving positive performance appraisals.
What you'll do#
- Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity and operational efficiency.
- Manage operational procedures including incoming and outgoing shipments, merchandise organization, and inventory maintenance.
- Plan production schedules and resource allocation while maintaining accurate time and production records.
- Track warehouse activities, such as sales, record control, and purchasing, to ensure product availability.
- Prepare and submit reports to designated plant personnel.
- Operate machinery and material handling equipment while resolving employee issues and maintaining communication across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Eligibility to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program in accordance with DODI 1322.29.
- 2 years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience.
- Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Strong conflict management skills.
- Ability to work in extreme temperature environments, ranging from -20 Fahrenheit in cold storage to 100 Fahrenheit in dry storage, while wearing provided protective gear.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and work a flexible schedule, including weekends if required.
- Comfort working in environments with varying noise levels.
