DoD SkillBridge Internship - Operations Supervisor

About the role#

This internship is a DoD SkillBridge opportunity designed for service members in their final 180 days of active duty. The program provides training in operations, processes, and company culture to prepare interns for potential transition into full-time employment. The internship duration is 90 to 120 days.

What you'll do#

• Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Manage operational procedures, including incoming and outgoing shipments, merchandise organization, and inventory maintenance.
• Plan production schedules and resource allocation while maintaining accurate time and production records.
• Track warehouse activities, including sales, record control, and purchasing to ensure product availability.
• Generate and send reports to designated plant personnel.
• Work with machinery and material handling equipment and resolve employee issues.

What you'll need#

• Eligibility for the DoD SkillBridge program in accordance with DODI 1322.29.
• 2 years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience.
• Experience with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Strong conflict management skills.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -20 Fahrenheit to 100 Fahrenheit while wearing company-provided protective gear.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
• Comfort working in environments with varying noise levels.
