DoD SkillBridge Internship - Operations Supervisor

About the role#

This DoD SkillBridge internship is designed to provide transitioning service members with the knowledge and skills necessary to move into a full-time Warehouse Supervisor role. The program focuses on hands-on training across warehouse operations, leadership, and facility management. Successful completion of training objectives and positive performance appraisals may lead to an offer of full-time employment.

What you'll do#

• Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure operational efficiency.
• Manage warehouse procedures, including incoming and outgoing shipments, merchandise organization, and inventory maintenance.
• Plan production schedules and allocate resources to meet job requirements while maintaining accurate time and production records.
• Track warehouse activities, including sales, record control, and purchasing to ensure product availability.
• Generate and submit reports to designated plant personnel.
• Operate machinery and material handling equipment while resolving employee issues.

What you'll need#

• Must be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program in accordance with DODI 1322.29.
• 2 years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience.
• Experience working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Strong conflict management skills.
• Ability to work in environments ranging from -20°F (-25°C) to 100°F (37°C) while wearing company-provided protective equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Comfort working in environments with varying noise levels.
