About the role#
Linea Energy is looking for a part-time Policy Intern to support our state renewable energy policy and RTO regulatory work. You will join our team for the Fall 2026 term. This role is based in San Francisco and operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Track and summarize state renewable energy policy developments, such as legislation and public utility commission proceedings.
- Create briefings on specific markets, including utility planning materials and local policy.
- Conduct deep dives on RTO and ISO regulatory issues like interconnection reform and resource adequacy.
- Participate in industry group calls and synthesize key insights for our commercial and development teams.
- Support quantitative analysis of market and policy data, including interconnection queue analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in public policy, economics, environmental science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in energy policy, electricity regulation, or clean energy markets through coursework, research, or prior internships.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to distill dense regulatory material into clear summaries.
- Comfort with data analysis is a plus.

- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to work in-office approximately one day per week.
- Commitment: 10 to 20 hours per week.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- This is a paid internship.
