About the role#
The Engineering Summer 2027 Internship at Lincoln Electric connects your academic background with hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing. You will work on projects within automation, manufacturing, and research and development. The program includes technical training, mentorship, and opportunities for professional development through leadership sessions and workshops.
What you'll do#
- Design machines or systems.
- Create detailed design specifications, manufacturing instructions, assembly drawings, and testing protocols.
- Test prototype equipment and execute quality control processes to resolve production problems.
- Develop new consumables through applied research.
- Assist in the design and implementation of safety mechanisms and controls for industrial machinery.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Material Science, Welding, or Packaging engineering.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship.
- Interest in working in a manufacturing environment and strong communication skills.
