About the role#
The Controls Engineering Internship offers hands-on experience in industrial automation. You will work at our Plymouth, Michigan facility alongside experienced engineers to design and implement advanced systems. This role connects your academic background with real-world engineering challenges in a manufacturing environment. Interns will participate in an Immersion Day at our headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, early in the program.
What you'll do#
- Design PLC software and HMIs for industrial automation equipment.
- Debug and troubleshoot PLC software.
- Create electrical schematics.
- Maintain project design documentation and prepare deliverables for customers.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing or have achieved a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with electrical circuits and schematic reading.
