About the role#
The Student Government Association (SGA) Student Worker ensures that the office remains organized, well-maintained, and properly staffed. You will report directly to the SGA Director and help coordinate daily operational activities while supporting the vision of the SGA and the university.
What you'll do#
- Oversee the general SGA office and ensure all policies and procedures are followed.
- Manage office operations, including scheduling and directing activities.
- Maintain and organize all office and storage areas through regular cleaning.
- Track student attendance by managing the swiping process for those entering and leaving the office.
- Build a friendly environment for staff and students while promoting a culture of trust and teamwork.
- Look for ways to improve office efficiency.
What you'll need#
- A solid understanding of general SGA operations.
- Fluency in MS Office Suite.
- Strong self-motivation and personal ambition.
- Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal forms.
- Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build interpersonal relationships and delegate tasks effectively.
- Capability to handle unexpected mishaps as they arise.
