As a Video Editor Intern, you will work on live client campaigns, contributing to video assets for paid media, organic social, and digital channels. You will collaborate directly with senior editors, designers, and account teams, receiving feedback to refine your work. This role requires the ability to handle raw footage, make independent decisions on pacing and structure, and iterate quickly based on professional feedback. You will be expected to integrate AI tools into your daily workflow to assist with assembly, captioning, and versioning.
What you'll do#
- Edit video assets from raw footage through polished cuts, incorporating feedback across multiple revision rounds.
- Support pacing, sequencing, and storytelling structure under the guidance of senior team members.
- Create multiple versions of assets, including different aspect ratios, lengths, and captions for specific platforms.
- Add text overlays, subtitles, and light motion elements.
- Edit and balance dialogue, music, and sound effects to professional standards.
- Use AI tools to generate footage and audio, and to accelerate project assembly and versioning.
- Manage project files, assets, and footage within established team workflows.
- Assist senior editors with sourcing stock assets, setting up projects, and creating cutdowns.
What you'll need#
- A reel or website demonstrating your edited video work, including school projects, personal work, or professional experience.
- Working knowledge of Premiere Pro.
- Basic understanding of video formats and platform-specific specifications.
- Demonstrated interest in storytelling and visual design fundamentals.
- Ability to take direction, iterate quickly, and meet deadlines.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a film, media, or related program, such as Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or Art.
Location & details#
- Work Modality: Remote.
- Eligibility: Open to residents of the United States and Canada. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Term: Rolling.
- Compensation: Paid at $18/hour (USD/CAD).
