About the role#
Join the research team at LetkoBrosseau for a Winter 2027 internship. You will work alongside experienced investment professionals to develop deep knowledge of specific industries and their listed companies. This role focuses on long-term, fundamental research to help identify appropriate investments for clients. The work is global in scope, covering industry trends and companies across various geographical regions.
What you'll do#
- Conduct independent, in-depth research on a specific sector and individual companies.
- Review company strategies, evaluate business plans, and analyze future challenges and opportunities.
- Create detailed multi-year financial forecasts and maintain up-to-date financial models.
- Examine risks and opportunities related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
- Participate in Investment Management team meetings.
- Develop a strategic argument and formulate a rigorous investment recommendation.
- Present your findings to the investment team and defend your choices during a question-and-answer session.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an MBA or M.Sc. program in Finance or a related field.
- Excellent academic record.
- Strong research skills, resourcefulness, and meticulous attention to detail.
- High level of judgment and the ability to analyze large amounts of information independently.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and independent mindset.
- Strong work ethic, discipline, and consistency.
- Ability to excel as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Training or professional experience in science, information technology, or telecommunications is an asset.
- Multilingualism (French, English, or other languages) is an asset.

- Location: Montreal, Quebec.
- Term: January to May 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (office work 3 days per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
