About the role#
As a Mobile Applications Intern at Lennox, you will work with software engineers and cross-functional teams to build mobile solutions for our connected products. You will gain experience with modern mobile development practices and software architecture while contributing to real projects. This is a full-time, paid position with the potential for a full-time offer upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of Android mobile applications.
- Support application development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Help with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication and connectivity testing.
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application performance.
- Participate in code reviews, agile development activities, and team project discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic programming proficiency in Kotlin, Java, C++, or a similar language.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and general software development fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Basic knowledge of software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting techniques.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Richardson, Texas.
- The position is full-time and paid with a starting pay range of $22.50 to $25.00 per hour, depending on your current year in school.
