About the role#
As a Systems Engineer Intern, you will work with experienced engineers to support the development, integration, and validation of automotive systems. You will gain hands-on experience across the full systems lifecycle, from requirements and design to final validation. You will support teams working on embedded systems, electromechanical components, and automotive comfort technologies.
What you'll do#
- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting system requirements for automotive components and subsystems.
- Contribute to system block diagrams, interface definitions, and design reviews.
- Support test planning, execution, and data analysis for system-level and component-level validation.
- Work with engineers to identify issues, analyze failures, and support corrective actions.
- Partner with mechanical, electrical, software, and quality teams to ensure system alignment and performance.
- Assist with system modeling, simulation, or analysis tools used in the design process.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, documentation updates, and workflow optimization.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in automotive systems, embedded technologies, or electromechanical design.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Exposure to systems engineering principles such as requirements, the V-model, or validation.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
- Experience with CAN, LIN, or other automotive communication protocols.
- Understanding of basic electrical or mechanical systems.
- Coursework or project experience in embedded systems, controls, or mechatronics.
