Quality Engineer Co-op Fall 2026

About the role#

The Quality Engineer Co-op will contribute to the manufacturing operations of polyurethane sealants and coatings. This role focuses on the relationship between manufacturing processes and support teams, with an emphasis on safety, product quality testing, process validation, and improvement. You will spend a significant amount of time working in both the lab and on the plant floor.

What you'll do#

• Assist the quality team in performing routine tests to verify product specifications and approve items for shipping and filling.
• Manage the filing and disposal processes within the retain room.
• Maintain 5S standards for the QC lab and retain room.
• Participate in product quality projects, including root cause investigations and the implementation of corrective actions to reduce rework and customer complaints.
• Lead a small project focused on quality improvement through testing, data collection, and analysis.

What you'll need#

• High School diploma.
• Current standing as a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
• Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering, with a preference for Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
