Process Engineer Co-op Fall 2026

About the role#

As a Process Engineer Co-op, you will gain hands-on experience with the manufacturing processes for polyurethane sealants and coatings. You will develop a practical understanding of how manufacturing operations interact with supporting teams, including safety, quality, maintenance, and production departments.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with the process and quality engineering group to support daily plant operations.
• Learn and apply process tools, including Process Safety Management, Behavioral Risk Improvement, and Lean Six-Sigma methodologies such as 5S, A3 Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Lead small projects focused on improving equipment or processes.
• Collect data to support initiatives for process waste reduction.
• Edit or create P&IDs.
• Work alongside Process Engineers on Capital Expense projects.
• Conduct meetings to collaborate on projects and communicate information.
• Serve as a back-up for Quality Lab Safety.

What you'll need#

• High School diploma.
• Current standing as a sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a preference for Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical disciplines.
