About the role#
Landis+Gyr is looking for an undergraduate student to join our team as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op. This position involves a three-semester rotation commitment, starting in January 2027. You will work full-time hours on-site in Alpharetta, Georgia, alternating between work terms and school semesters.
What you'll do#
- Design mechanical systems and components using solid modeling CAD tools under the guidance of a supervisor.
- Create detailed drawings for parts and assemblies.
- Calculate dimensions, angles, and curvature for parts.
- Determine the materials and structural relationships for various components.
- Generate bills of materials and engineering change orders.
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure, deliver, and implement designs.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Completion of, or progress toward, an engineering graphics CAD course.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to commit to three rotating semesters: Spring 2027, Fall 2027, and Summer 2028.
