About the role#
Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team in San Francisco for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship where you will gain hands-on experience in a laboratory setting. You will work alongside professionals to learn diagnostic workflows and support our daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Shadow laboratory professionals to learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
- Assist with non-testing tasks, including specimen organization, inventory management, and workspace preparation.
- Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
- Support approved laboratory projects.
- Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Chemistry, Biology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow established laboratory procedures.
- Eagerness to learn new scientific concepts and laboratory skills.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
- A genuine interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
Location & details#
- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week).
- Duration: 11 weeks, from June 1st to August 13th, 2027.
