    About the role#

    Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our Anatomic Pathology team in Portland, Oregon. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional laboratory setting while working on projects that support our diagnostics operations.

    What you'll do#

    • Shadow laboratory professionals to learn diagnostic workflows, use of instrumentation, and department operations.
    • Assist with non-testing tasks, including specimen organization, inventory management, and workspace preparation.
    • Participate in supervised mock testing, demonstrations, and the application of basic laboratory techniques.
    • Support approved laboratory projects.
    • Adhere to all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
    • An interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
    • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to follow established laboratory procedures.
    • Eagerness to learn new scientific concepts and laboratory skills.
    • Ability to work independently under general supervision and show initiative.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Portland, Oregon.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week).
    • Duration: 11 weeks (June 1, 2027, to August 13, 2027).
