About the role#
Labcorp is looking for an AI Transformation Associate to join our team in Phoenix. This is a part-time, per diem role where you will help us integrate data and automation into our laboratory operations. You will act as a bridge between lab staff and technical teams to identify opportunities for improvement and support the development of new digital tools. This position is ideal for current students or recent graduates who want to apply their technical skills to real-world health challenges.
What you'll do#
- Partner with lab staff to understand workflows, equipment usage, and operational challenges.
- Translate lab needs into specific AI, data, or automation projects.
- Analyze operational and quality data to find actionable insights.
- Support the testing and evaluation of AI-based decision-support tools.
- Create repeatable analytical processes to help with lab decision-making.
- Document findings and present recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Participate in training sessions for enterprise data tools and laboratory information systems.
- Engage in workshops to sharpen your communication, consulting, and professional skills.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and prompt engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- A strong interest in digital transformation and emerging technologies.
- Preferred: AI certification, and at least 6 months of experience with Python, SQL, automation tools, or data visualization software like Power BI or Tableau.
Location & details#
- Location: 5005 S 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, approximately 20 hours per week. Hours may vary based on business needs.
- Modality: Hybrid. You will work onsite in the office approximately 3 days per month.
