About the role#
As a Digital Signal and Imaging AI intern, you will join the Data, Data Science, and AI organization within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. You will work alongside data scientists and subject matter experts to apply analytics to research questions. This role focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare.
What you'll do#
- Create and iterate on data science solutions.
- Process and analyze data from wearable sensors and neuroimaging.
- Develop machine learning models to discover digital biomarkers.
- Validate digital health endpoints.
- Generate insights from real-world physiological and behavioral data.
- Model and predict disease progression and severity.
- Identify disease subtypes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Neuroscience, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong working knowledge of machine learning and AI.
- Advanced proficiency in Python or R.
- Skills in predictive modeling, statistics, and large dataset analysis.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Knowledge of data cleaning and quality standards.
- Experience with sensor data, wearable devices, clinical records, or medical imaging is preferred.
- Proficiency with PyTorch.
- Experience with semi-supervised learning, self-supervised learning, or Foundation Models.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
