About the role#
As a Systems Engineer Intern, you will work on operational analysis and system design. You will support the development and evaluation of complex architectures while working with end users to analyze their requirements. This role is full-time and based on-site in Lynchburg, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Perform operational analysis and create concepts of operations.
- Develop implementation and test plans, including specific procedures and cases.
- Conduct tests and document your results.
- Use software tools, scripting, and hardware or software troubleshooting to solve problems.
- Analyze system requirements from users and end systems.
- Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate your design activity plans and status to customers.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Coursework or experience in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, and design.
- Background in system performance modeling, integration, or project management.
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering.
- Familiarity with Rhapsody.
Location & details#
- Location: Lynchburg, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
