About the role#
This internship involves applying engineering and mathematical principles to develop software for tactical radio equipment. You will work with cross-functional teams to design system interfaces and define operational performance requirements.
What you'll do#
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Develop software programs, test procedures, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to collect operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Participate in peer reviews to evaluate designs.
- Identify, track, and fix software defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, and Python across Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- A major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts & Sciences.

- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Schedule: 9/80 work schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Term: Rolling.
