About the role#
L3Harris Technologies is hiring a Software Engineering Intern in Melbourne, Florida. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. You will work on-site as part of a 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply concepts from computer science, engineering, and mathematics to develop software.
- Build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Assess operational performance requirements and overall system design.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Write software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Join peer reviews to identify, track, and fix defects.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience with one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows.NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or Embedded Systems.
