About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on software development for tactical radio equipment. You will apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to build and test real-time systems. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Salt Lake City.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software systems.
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and integration.
- Write software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to collect operating data and evaluate experimental results.
- Participate in peer reviews to track and fix software defects.
- Work with various programming languages including C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, and Ajax.
- Develop for Windows, Linux, mobile platforms, and real-time operating systems like VxWorks, QNX, and Integrity.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree at an accredited university.
- Eligible fields include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.

- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes working 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off.
