About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on software for tactical radio equipment. You will assist with the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Salt Lake City.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering and mathematical principles to software development.
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Create embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment.
- Write software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and conduct tests.
- Participate in peer reviews and track software defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, and Python.
- Develop for various platforms including Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems like VxWorks and QNX.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts and Sciences, or a related field.

- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
