About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Clifton, New Jersey. You will work on-site as part of our engineering team, focusing on the development of software for tactical radio equipment. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to develop software for target applications.
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to testing.
- Write software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data, conduct tests, and evaluate results.
- Take part in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair defects.
- Work with languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, Ajax, and Qt across platforms like Windows, Linux, and various real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- A major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
