About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern at L3Harris Technologies, you will contribute to the development of software for advanced tactical radio equipment. You will work on-site in Clifton, New Jersey, as part of a team focused on real-time control systems.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to develop software applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design interfaces between hardware and software.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Develop software test procedures and related documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and evaluate experimental results.
- Take part in peer reviews and help identify, track, and fix software defects.
- Work with various languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, HTML5, XML, SQL, Perl, Python, and Ajax on platforms including Windows, Linux, and embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts & Sciences, or a related field.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java.NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, wireless technologies, software security, robotics, or embedded systems.
Location & details#
- Location: Clifton, New Jersey.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $29 to $53.50 per hour.
- Status: Full-time internship.
