About the role#
This internship at L3Harris Technologies focuses on the development of embedded software for tactical radio equipment. You will work on-site in Clifton, New Jersey, to help build and test systems that require real-time control. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Apply engineering and mathematical concepts to develop software for specific applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design interfaces between hardware and software.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to final testing.
- Write software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to gather operating data and evaluate experimental results.
- Take part in peer reviews to identify and fix software defects.
- Work with various languages including C++, C, Java, and Python across Windows, Linux, and embedded operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- A major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts and Sciences.

- Location: Clifton, New Jersey.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes 80 hours of work over 9 days with every other Friday off.
