About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on software development for tactical radio equipment. This role involves applying engineering and mathematical principles to build systems that bridge hardware and software. You will join an engineering team to support the full development lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Develop and test embedded software for real-time control systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to design system interfaces and define operational requirements.
- Create software test procedures and maintain related technical documentation.
- Run experimental tests using modeling tools to collect and evaluate operating data.
- Participate in peer reviews to track, identify, and fix software defects.
- Write code using various languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, and SQL across platforms like Windows, Linux, and real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program at an accredited university.
- Study focus in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, or Digital Arts & Sciences.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Clifton, New Jersey.
- This is an on-site, full-time internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
