About the role#
L3Harris Technologies is looking for a Quality Engineering Intern to help maintain processes that ensure our products meet required standards. You will work with cross-functional teams and customers to review performance, address issues, and support operations. This role involves investigating nonconformances, contributing to corrective actions, and managing quality documentation.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement quality processes using statistical quality control.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ensure standards are met.
- Determine the root cause for products or materials that do not meet specifications.
- Implement corrective actions and write inspection procedures.
- Review in-process rejections and obtain product dispositions.
- Analyze factory quality performance and work with Operations Engineers to develop improvement plans.
- Serve as the primary customer quality interface, including conducting business briefings.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, or Quality Sciences.
- Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree within the last 12 months are also eligible.
- Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Yellow or Green Belt is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where employees work 80 hours over 9 days and receive every other Friday off.
