About the role#
As an Information Security Systems Engineer intern, you will contribute to the development of cryptography products. You will work directly with software and hardware design teams to ensure products meet specific security standards. This role requires travel up to 25% of the time.
What you'll do#
- Apply NSA and FIPS 140 requirements to cryptography products.
- Collaborate with design engineers to implement standards.
- Create design and testing documentation to validate implementation.
- Support ongoing NSA certification and FIPS 140 validation efforts.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding project progress.
- Ask questions to clarify designs and technical concepts.
- Adapt to project changes and participate in team decision-making.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Engineering, Information Security, Mathematics, Digital Arts and Sciences, or a related field.
Location & details#
- Location: Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Work schedule: This is a full-time, on-site role. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where employees work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
- Status: This is a paid internship.
