About the role#
This is a 16-month co-op position based in Waterdown, Ontario. You will report to the Manager of Applications and Collaboration Services and work alongside a team to support software applications that validate production systems. This role requires a full-time commitment and the ability to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and support functional and system software applications for production assemblies.
- Build automation to replace manual testing, logs, and paper-based processes.
- Maintain custom internal applications using C# and SQL.
- Write technical specifications and test plans.
- Perform ad-hoc report generation and data mining.
- Provide programming support for various interfaces.
- Collaborate with Operations, Production, and IT to improve test capabilities and procedures.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
- Support quality standards including AS9100 and ISO9001.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Software/Computer Engineering degree program at an accredited university.
- Ability to commit to a 16-month term starting in May 2026.
- Experience developing functional software, test scripts, or automation systems.
- Working knowledge of internet communication protocols like TCP/IP and Ethernet.
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, MS SQL, and DevOps is an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
