About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for military and commercial aircraft and ground stations. You will work on a variety of tasks across multiple aircraft platforms, including Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, and Power Distribution.
What you'll do#
- Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, and control panels using CAD tools.
- Research and prepare engineering drawings.
- Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure requirements are met at a minimum cost.
- Support the testing and integration of systems on aircraft.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical degree.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Previous internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in electrical engineering.
- Familiarity with CAD and PLM software, specifically NX and Teamcenter.
Location & details#
- This role is located in Rochester, New York.
- The position is on-site and full-time.
- The schedule follows a 9/80 format, where you work 80 hours over 9 days and have every other Friday off.
- This is a paid internship.
