Summer 2026 Human Resources Intern- Retail

About the role#

The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed to provide students with hands-on learning, professional development, and exposure to senior leadership. This full-time, paid internship offers the opportunity to lead projects and collaborate with industry professionals.

What you'll do#

• Assist retail and digital marketing managers with the development, execution, and measurement of business campaigns.
• Conduct comprehensive data collection and research, including planning, gathering, analyzing, and reporting findings.
• Provide research on products, competitors, services, and internal processes.
• Compile, organize, and summarize data to present conclusions to team members.
• Create documentation in response to inquiries and provide support materials to stores and divisions.
• Communicate status updates and participate in team meetings.
• Complete and present a cumulative project summarizing internship accomplishments to the leadership team.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university with a preferred GPA of 3.0.
• Majors in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources are preferred, though the role is open to all majors.
• Must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and in groups.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to change as a positive challenge.
• Desired: Experience with data analysis, digital marketing coursework, Google Analytics, or Adobe Analytics.
