Summer 2026 Human Resources Intern- Retail

About the role#

The Kroger Summer Internship Program is a 12-week immersive experience designed to provide students with hands-on learning, exposure to senior leadership, and professional development. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2026 term.

What you'll do#

• Assist retail and digital marketing managers with the development, execution, and measurement of business campaigns.
• Conduct comprehensive data collection and research, including planning, gathering, analyzing, and reporting findings.
• Research products, competitors, services, and internal processes to meet informational needs.
• Compile, organize, and summarize data to present conclusions to team members.
• Create reports and documentation in response to business inquiries.
• Communicate status updates and potential issues to relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in team meetings and provide constructive feedback.
• Complete a cumulative project summarizing internship accomplishments and present it to the leadership team.

What you'll need#

• Active pursuit of a degree at an accredited college or university, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong motivation, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and in groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to various levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to change as a positive challenge.
• Must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States.
